The “European Snow Booklet” is the product of a survey, promoted by the Swiss Institute for Snow and Avalance Research (SFL) with the supervision of Dr. Anna Haberkorn, that rewiews how operational snow measurements are taken in 38 European countries.
This reference work arises from the thought that snow cover data captured in different locations or countries should be comparable. If they are not, the different operational practices have to be examined with the goal of standardizing all the results.
