Glaciological Bibliography

The CGI Newsletter, since its first issue (1914), periodically includes the “Glaciological bibliography” survey, consisting in a non-exhaustive series of titles showing “what has been done in our country, with the aim to provide some guidelines and an encouragement to young newcomers approaching the study of glacial phenomena” (U. Monterin, 1915).

Although not published by the CGI, it is also worth noticing the bibliographic review “Glaciological studies in Italy. Report and bibliography(PDF), containing about one thousand references. It was compiled in 1927 by Federico SACCO, that was vice-president of CGI at that time, and President of the Commission for Glaciology within the geodetic and geophysical committee of the National Research Council.
